From leaking joints to bracket failure, we diagnose and repair all types of gutter damage. Most repairs are completed within 2–5 working days.
Leaking Joints
Joints between gutter sections are vulnerable to weather and settlement. Water leaks through where sections meet, often causing damp inside or exterior water damage. We inspect, clear blockages, and reseal with professional-grade mastic or replace the joint section entirely.
Sagging Gutters
Gutters sag when brackets weaken, debris accumulates, or the gutter straps loosen over time. This causes standing water, accelerates corrosion, and eventually leads to leaks. We reinforce or replace brackets, realign the gutter, and ensure proper fall towards downpipes.
Cracked or Split Sections
PVC gutters crack from UV exposure and temperature changes; metal gutters split from impact or corrosion. A crack allows water to escape behind the fascia, damaging timber or insulation. We replace the damaged section and seal joints to prevent future leaks.
Bracket Failure
Brackets anchor gutters to the fascia. When they rust, crack, or pull loose, the gutter sags and separates from the house. This is both a leak risk and a safety hazard. We replace or reinforce brackets and ensure the gutter is securely reattached with proper spacing.
Corrosion & Rust (Cast Iron)
Cast iron gutters, common in Victorian and Edwardian homes, are prone to rust and corrosion. We clean, treat, and patch small areas, or recommend a protective coating to seal the surface and extend lifespan by 5–10 years.
Impact & Storm Damage
High winds, falling branches, or hail can dent, bend, or puncture gutters. Even minor damage can trap water and cause leaks. We assess damage severity and repair or replace affected sections to restore full function.
